There just seems to always be "a little something" that one of us wants to add to our first painting. We both agree we're almost done. To think we started this painting almost a year ago! We're really excited to share our process with you all as well as the finished piece...when we finish it ;-)

UPDATE
Yes, we're still here. If you're following our twitter feed you will have noticed by now that we are very slowly working on our first painting.
I am currently applying to graduate school, so the last few months have been used working on my portfolio and getting all of the paperwork in order. Deadline is February 15th...after that I will have all of the time in the world to work on Megan & Sara...that is until I start classes in the fall (fingers crossed!)
Sara has been experiencing her first year of college. Now that she is in her second semester it's all smooth sailing ahead!
I will be dropping off the painting in the mail later today to send out to Sara. We're almost done...I can feel it!
We have also decided that with the first painting we are going to hold off on the photos and post them all together along with an interview of our process and experiences with the first of MANY paintings to come! Going forward we will be posting the photos as we go.

Welcome!!
This is an exciting new collaborative art project brought to you by Megan Charland and Sara Charland. Yes, we're sisters!
Here is how it works. The first painting will start in Rochester, NY with Megan and then be mailed to Sara in Peru, NY where she will then work on it. The painting will be mailed back and forth until we mutually agree that it is "finished." This is all still very much in the start-up phase so it will be exciting to see what happens next!
Throughout the process the canvases will be photographed and posted here for your viewing pleasure.
