There just seems to always be "a little something" that one of us wants to add to our first painting. We both agree we're almost done. To think we started this painting almost a year ago! We're really excited to share our process with you all as well as the finished piece...when we finish it ;-)

This is a collaborative art project brought to you by Megan Charland and Sara Charland.
2 artists + 1 canvas = ?
The unknown is what is so exciting about this project. One canvas is mailed back and forth between Megan in Rochester, NY and Sara in Peru, NY until we mutually agree it is "finished." How do we come to this conclusion? That is the question indeed.
2 artists, 1 canvas, repeat.
What are the rules?
There are no rules!!
How long does it take?
We work on the painting until it is "finished" and then we repeat the process on a brand spankin' new canvas!! Keep in mind the canvas is being mailed approx. 360 miles each way.
About Megan!!
Hi! I'm a visual artist and this little project "Megan & Sara" was my idea...and I'm kind of obsessed with it right now. I earned my BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology May 2008. I am currently a graduate student at Visual Studies Workshop in the Visual Studies program working towards my MFA. I enjoy espresso, a little too much. About Sara!!
Just your average small town girl with big city dreams. I love art in all aspects, dealing with medias ranging from acrylics to charcoal to clay. "Art is not a way of living. It's a way of life!" I'm currently 21yrs old and have no idea what I want to do with the rest of my life, but I love the feeling of nothing being certain, everything's always changing for better or worse. That's why I'm living life with no regrets and having fun with all the people in my life that I love. I'm wicked excited for this project and can't wait to see the outcome!
